Psychological intervention is a fancy way of saying therapy! This is where we are one-on-one, working things through together and building up your ability to cope more effectively in the future. We practice using a number of different therapy styles, including cognitive behaviour therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (my personal favourite), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. We will work together to work out what works best for you in your current situation.
At the moment we offer two different ways to spend your therapy session:
We are located in Cronulla, and have an office where we can meet one-on-one. This is the traditional form of therapy where we will sit together in doors, and maybe have a cup of tea while we address your current concerns.
At The Sunshine Club Psychology, we aim to create a space that is safe and comfortable to walk into. We want therapy to be a place where you feel free to speak openly and where you can be your true self. This is when real progress is made.
We are so lucky to be located in an area with such beautiful oceans and walking tracks. We believe in the power of integrating movement and the great outdoors with evidence based psychological intervention. Did you know that research has shown just 30 minutes of activity a day can be as effective as an antidepressant for mild to moderate depression?

Therapy with children
At The Sunshine Club, we believe in a play-based approach to therapy with our younger friends. We try our best to keep therapy fun and engaging while also educational and supportive to ensure our little ones get the most of their sessions.
